The Network of Conservation Educators and Practitioners (NCEP) is a global project that seeks to develop the human capacity needed to sustain the Earth’s diversity. Our strategy is to improve conservation practice worldwide by improving training in conservation. NCEP produces high quality, peer-reviewed and open access educational materials to improve the breadth and quality of conservation education worldwide. The program also offers training opportunities for faculty and conservation professionals, and engages in research to advance the field of conservation education. NCEP has active projects in the Americas, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.
NCEP works to:
• Create and make widely available a variety of open-access resources to teach biodiversity conservation
• Advance active teaching and learning approaches in conservation that model the realities of professional conservation practice
• Connect and support conservation capacity building efforts at the local, regional, and international level
